Printing Methods and Proofs

Paper Style's standard IN-HOUSE PRINTING process is a consistent raised print process called Thermography. This allows us to not only produce goods more quickly, but also monitor the quality. We do not have to rely on a third party like the rest. Using the highest quality products with competitive pricing is just one of the many reasons you cannot only trust but rely on us. We are not new to the block. Our founders have been in the business for almost 20 years!

Thermography A method of printing that produces a 3-dimensional effect, generally referred to as "raised printing." Wet ink is applied to paper via a printing press. A special resinous powder is then glazed over the wet ink and then the paper enters an oven at 1000+ degrees, which causes the powder to melt, raise and harden.
Lithography A method of printing where ink is applied to paper via a printing press where it dries very quickly. Also referred to as "offset printing".
Engraving A method in which the wording on your invitation is etched into a copper plate and then filled with ink and pressed into paper. The result is a beautiful slightly raised text. The most traditional and elegant method of social printing usually associated with wedding invitations.
Embossing A method in which an image is pressed into a surface from one side, thus, leaving a slightly raised surface on the other side. Although there are different types of Embossing, our type is also referred to as Blind Embossing.
Blank or Unpersonalized You print yourself on your own laser jet or ink jet printer!
E-Proof A FREE online proofing system which allows you to see your order as will appear as a finished product before going to press. A professional typesetter will create your proof for you, an advantage over other companies whose proofs may be plain and simple. E-Proofs are generated Monday - Friday and will be posted to your Paper Style Account. An e-mail is sent to you to let you know when your E-Proof is ready.
Camera Ready Art A term that defines the clarity of art work. We can reproduce your one color company logo or art as long as it is presented as crisp black ink on a white background. We support file extensions: .jpg, .tif, .gif, .psd and.eps.

Online ordering with Paper Style makes sense:
  • IN-HOUSE PRINTING - Most of our printing is performed in our own facility in just a few business days! This allows us to not only produce goods more quickly, but monitor the quality. We do not have to rely on a third party like the rest.
  • E-PROOF - Much of our proofing is available for what we call E-Proof. Within 24 business hours of receipt of your order, a Proof will be posted to your Paper Style Account. E-Proof's not only save time, but are the closest representation possible to the physical product. Allow a little extra time for proofs being created by companies like Crane and William Arthur.
  • GREAT SERVICE - Our Customer Service Team is standing by to answer any questions you may have. We also have a Live Help chat feature during business hours.
  • SECURE - Shopping at Paper Style is secure. Our VeriSign certificate's authenticity is available throughout our site.
  • GUARANTEE - We stand behind every product that we offer. That's right, a 100% Satisfaction Guarantee. If you're not happy, neither are we. Any good purchased may be returned within 30 days of receipt for an exchange or refund. *Please note! We do our best to help you prevent them, but we can't be responsible for any omissions, typos, unusual spellings, event cancellations or postponements. If your order needs to be re-printed with any of the aforementioned reasons (we know it's no fun), a very small re-print fee will apply. Customer Service will be happy to help you!
